Dear English teachers from Ceará,
SEDUC, in partnership with British Council, has the pleasure of presenting the teachers’ manual for ETP – English Teachers’ Portfolio. ETP is a unique self-study language improvement programme, specifically designed to help Brazilian teachers of English develop listening and speaking skills. ETP focuses on pronunciation and vocabulary development. There are also teaching tips and all from a Brazilian context. Special emphasis is placed on:
- improving pronunciation;
- developing vocabulary and grammatical accuracy;
- giving practise in linguistic areas which are often difficult for Brazilian learners of English;
- classroom English;
- teaching methodology.
Many public sector teachers know a lot of English but sometimes lack fluency and confidence. The main purpose of this project is to give opportunity to all English teachers from SEDUC, to develop language competence in order to improve his/her lessons. Profª. Karina Andrade
